Lobsters are the seafood lover’s ultimate delight.
In this article, I share a mouth-watering healthy lobster recipe. Lobsters are a delicacy that most people do not know are actually quite easy to prepare. While lobsters can be grilled or boiled, they can also be delectable when simply steamed or broiled. For preparing them, you will need to acquire a big stockpot and some effective lobster recipes for you to come up with authentic lobster dishes.
Lobsters are high in protein and are great if you are on a strict diet because of the essential omega3 acids that you acquire from them. Lobster meat is indeed a good substitute for chicken meat and other basic meat staples. Take a stewpan and boil the saltwater in it. Add the lobster in after the water starts to boil and continue this for a period of about 20 minutes to 45 minutes. The exact time that you allow for boiling depends on the size of the lobsters that you have chosen.
Remember that if you boil the lobster for too long, the meat will become chewy, and if it is not boiled for an adequate amount of time, then you will not have a properly cooked lobster. It is also a good idea to dash a little butter or sweet oil on the shell and wipe it off later. This is one of the easy recipes that you will find and is also one of the best healthy recipes for lobsters.
There is a lot of variety that can be churned out using lobsters, like lobster bisque, sauce, bakes, rolls, salads, and stews. Some of the well-known recipes of lobsters include chopped vegetable and lobster salad, grilled lobster with barbecue mayonnaise, lobster club sandwich, lobster pizza, lobster and white bean salad, lobster tails with Thai curry, hot and sour soup with lobster dumplings, lobster with coconut, corn, and lemongrass.
They can be made in American, Italian or Chinese flavors, depending on your taste.

Steamed Lobsters with Seared Wild Mushrooms
One thing that you have to remember or this recipe is to cook your lobsters by batch in order for you to steam them properly. Compared to boiling, steaming needs only a fair amount of water, but would most likely take you a bit longer. Nonetheless, a steamed lobster will definitely be juicier, tastier and by far a lot healthier for you to eat. Here is my yummy lobster recipe that you can try:
- 1 kg lobsters, cut lengthwise
- ¾ cup of white wine (dry)
- ½ cup lemon juice
- 1 ½ teaspoons garlic (minced)
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 8 crushed juniper berries
- ½ kg wild mushrooms, sliced thinly and the stems trimmed
- 1 teaspoon thyme (chopped)
- 5 thyme sprigs
- Salt and pepper
- Sourdough bread, with large slices toasted
- First, rub the tails of the lobster with garlic and olive oil.
- Season the lobster with salt and fresh pepper.
- Using a large steamer, mix together the lemon juice, bay leaves, thyme sprigs, wine, and juniper berries.
- Pour in water for about 2 inches, place the lobster in and cover tightly.
- Steam your lobster for 8 to 10 minutes on a high flame.
- On another end, heat part of the remaining olive oil in a frying pan then add the mushrooms and cook until brown.
- Put the chopped thyme and garlic in and cook again for another minute.
- Season the mushrooms with salt and fresh pepper.
- Serve your lobsters together with the mushrooms and toasted sourdough and enjoy it!
The proper presentation and preparation of the lobster dish are also extremely important. It is a fact that although this seafood tastes great, its appearance is actually not really that appealing and attractive to the eye. Make it a point to relish your dish enough so that it acquires the proper praise that it rightfully deserves.
It is very important to present the prepared lobster dish properly since the lobster is not the Adonis of the ocean. So its appearance should be made attractive and appealing enough to relish the dish and get the praise it deserves.
