Iceland Vacation – Iceland Land of the Vikings – þetta reddast
The best time to travel to Iceland on vacation for good weather is during the summer. You should plan to visit for not less than 7-8 days on an Iceland vacation, as you will then have sufficient time to explore much of the tours and attractions in Iceland and Reykjavik.
The Icelandic phrase “þetta reddast” is so frequently used, it has been described as the country’s motto. “Þetta reddast” can be translated to “it will all work out okay”.
The Norwegian Vikings arrived in Iceland in open Viking ships in the 9th century and settled on this cold volcanic island in the north. They persevered through unexpected volcanic eruptions, drift ice and harsh winters and the Icelanders, who inhabit Iceland now, are direct descendants of the Vikings.
An Iceland vacation is the perfect vacation for the whole family.
